Meadow Apothecary began not in a boardroom, but in a kitchen - with a Great Dane named Hugo, a jar of organic shea butter, and a deep desire to heal, naturally. What started as a homemade balm for sore doggy elbows quickly blossomed into something much bigger: a soulful return to earth-based wisdom and honest, handcrafted skincare
Founded by Nettie, a woman rooted in nature, ritual, and a deep respect for the healing power of plants,
Meadow Apothecary was never about trends. It was, and still is, about transformation. Every blend is small-batch, cruelty-free, and made with 100% organic ingredients chosen for their purity and potency

That’s why we only use glass bottles in rich amber, deep green, and cobalt blue – not just because they’re beautiful, but because they protect the integrity of our oils and balms. Glass is non-reactive, reusable, and recyclable – unlike plastic, which can leach and degrade over time. For our Meadow Tails dog range, we use lightweight aluminium tins – perfect for paw butters, nose balms, and Hugo’s Heal – because they’re safe, sustainable, and practical for everyday use
